Artists Biography

Pauline Connor is a Northamptonshire-based artist whose work captures the richness and beauty of the natural world through wildlife and landscapes. Inspired by early encounters with the ornate Chinese wall-coverings of stately homes, her recent chinoiserie pieces combine gold leaf and oils to create luminous, timeless works with an antique elegance.

Her practice continues to evolve through experimentation with gold leaf, cold wax, and increasingly abstract forms. Alongside this, her finely detailed pen-and-ink drawings—often featuring peacocks and other wildlife—reveal a love of intricate pattern and storytelling.

Her greatest joy in life when not painting is spending time with friends and family
